This page is maintained by the Lumina team to answer common questions about how the app works. It is app-owned editable content, not an independent certification. Lumina is a spiritual reflection tool and not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice.
1. Overview
Lumina is designed to be a private, gentle space. This policy describes what we collect, why, and the controls you have. If you have questions, reach us at support@lumina.app.
2. Information You Provide
Account details (email, name), profile preferences (mentor voice, focus gifts), journal entries, mood check-ins, compass answers, circle posts, and any messages with the AI companion or mentors.
3. Information Collected Automatically
Basic usage data such as which practices you complete, minutes practiced, and general device/browser info needed to run the app reliably. We do not sell this information.
4. How We Use Your Data
To personalize practices and the AI companion, to show your Garden growth, to power weekly digests, to keep circles safe, and to improve the app. Sensitive reflections are used only to serve you, not to train third-party AI models.
5. AI Companion & Memory
The companion may extract short 'memories' (for example, a mentor voice preference or a recurring focus) so it can respond with more context. You can view and delete these anytime from Profile. You can also turn AI memory off entirely.
6. Sharing & Third Parties
We share data only with trusted service providers that help us run Lumina (hosting, database, AI model providers, email). They are bound to use it only to deliver the service. We do not sell your personal data.
7. Data Security
Data is stored in our managed backend with row-level security so that only you (and, where relevant, moderators or mentors you interact with) can read your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
8. Your Choices
You can edit your profile, turn off AI memory, forget individual memories, delete your last conversation, or delete your account at any time. Circle posts you remove are hidden from other users.
9. Children
Lumina is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The 'Last updated' date will change when we do.
