This page is maintained by the Lumina team to answer common questions about how the app works. It is app-owned editable content, not an independent certification. Lumina is a spiritual reflection tool and not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Lumina, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. What Lumina Is
Lumina is a spiritual guidance and reflection app. It offers practices, journeys, an AI companion, journaling, a garden of progress, and optional community circles and 1:1 mentor sessions. Lumina is not therapy, medical care, or emergency services.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumina, and 18+ to book paid mentor sessions. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
4. AI Companion Disclaimer
Lumina's AI companion is a supportive reflective tool. It is not a licensed professional and does not provide medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.
5. Community Circles & Conduct
In circles you agree to be kind, respect privacy, and follow moderator guidance. No harassment, hate speech, spam, doxxing, or content that could cause harm. Moderators and Lumina staff may remove posts or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Mentor Sessions
Mentor sessions are between you and the individual mentor. Lumina facilitates discovery and booking but does not warrant any specific outcome. Mentors are independent guides, not employees of Lumina.
7. Payments, Subscriptions & Refunds
Paid features (including mentor sessions and any future subscriptions) are described at the point of purchase. Refunds are handled according to the Refund Policy.
8. Your Content
Journal entries, reflections, and mood check-ins belong to you. By posting in circles or submitting content for coach review, you grant Lumina a limited license to display that content within the app for its intended purpose.
9. Intellectual Property
Lumina, its practices, copy, visual design, and code are owned by Lumina and its contributors. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute app content without written permission.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a safety risk to others.
11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Lumina is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumina and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as Lumina evolves. When we do, we will update the 'Last updated' date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms.
